Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar’s son, Arjun Tendulkar, on Wednesday got engaged to Saaniya Chandhok. The two got engaged in an intimate ceremony in Mumbai in the presence of close friends and family.

Well, for the unversed, Saaniya is the granddaughter of veteran hotelier Ravi Ghai, a towering figure in India’s premium hospitality and culinary scene. They are known for luxury hotels and popular ice cream brands.

Ravi owns the landmark InterContinental Hotel on Marine Drive, formerly the Natraj Hotel, which he transformed under his watch into a world-class address. In 1993, he introduced Baskin-Robbins to India and the SAARC region, alongside leading ventures such as Kwality Ice Cream and The Brooklyn Creamery, which made global dessert flavours household favourites.

With an estimated net worth between Rs 800 crore and Rs 1,000 crore, the group operates across the spectrum, from affordable frozen treats to elite hospitality experiences.

Now, with his granddaughter’s engagement to Arjun Tendulkar, Ravi Ghai finds himself at the crossroads of business news, social media buzz, and cricket conversations.
