The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) on Thursday threw the ball into Odisha government’s court to decide whether audience would be allowed into the iconic Barabati stadium at Cuttack during the T20 International match to be played between India and West Indies in February next year.

During a meeting today, OCA secretary Sanjay Behera said, “Preparations have started ahead of the T20 match to be played between India and West Indies on February 15. However, no decision on allowing spectators has been taken yet. We are leaving it to the State government to decide.”

The OCA will request the government to take a decision in this regard by end of December or January first week as it takes minimum one month time to print and sale the tickets, Behera added.

Moreover, the association will also propose the State government to allow people who have completed double dose of vaccination or with a negative RT-PCR report 72 hours before the match, Behera informed.

West Indies will tour India in February 2022 and play three One Day Internationals (ODI) and three T20Is.
