Former India and current Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni has massive fan following across the globe. However, fans don’t know much about Dhoni’s private life as the cricketer hardly gives any insight about it.

Fans can get a rare insight into the personal life of the Captain Cool from Bollywood movie, ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’. In the movie, there is description about Dhoni’s first girlfriend – Priyanka Jha. Bollywood star Disha Patani has essayed the role in the movie.

The relationship between Dhoni and Priyanka started in 2002 when Dhoni was still trying to establish himself in the Indian cricket team. Dhoni wanted to spend the rest of his life with Priyanka. However, soon after Dhoni’s selection in the India ‘A’ squad for the tour of Zimbabwe and Kenya in 2003-04, Priyanka died in a tragic road accident.

Dhoni was overseas when his world fell apart. Not much is known about the family or profession of Priyanka. Director Neeraj Pandey had taken Dhoni’s permission to incorporate Priyanka into the movie. Dhoni took a lot of time to recover from the loss of his first girlfriend. He spent a lot of time off the field and only managed to get back to cricket after a long time before making his Team India debut.

Notably, Dhoni went on to marry Sakhi Singh Rawat in 2010 and they both have a daughter named Ziva.
