Three players from Odisha have been selected in different age group Indian women’s volleyball teams for the national coaching camp to be held in Bhubaneswar.

While Lasyamayee Mahanta of Bhubaneswar Sports Hostel has been inducted in the U-18 category of the Indian team for the national camp, Mamali Nag of the same hostel and Snehamayee Kishan have been selected in the U-20 category.

The camp will be jointly organised by Volleyball Federation of India (VFI) and Odisha Volleyball Association (OVA).

The U-18 Indian women’s team will take part in the upcoming International Volleyball Championship to be held in Thailand from June 6-13.

Similarly, the U-20 team will lock horns in the forthcoming 21st Asian Volleyball Championship to be held at Kazakhstan from July 4-11.

In another development, first international volleyball player of Odisha and FIVB level 1 coach Lotak Bindu Das has been appointed as the coach of the Indian women’s U-18 volleyball team.
