Bhubaneswar: The woman said to be a social activist who accompanied Rishi’s girlfriend to the Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC) to lodge complaint has been dubbed as an agent of the Mayor, alleged both BJP and Congress and demanded that the woman should be brought under the purview of the probe.
President of the students’ wing of Congress, Itish Pradhan showing photographs of the woman with Anant Narayan Jena and other BJD leaders at various functions, alleged the Mayor is trying to influence the probe while taking help of the woman.
Moreover, Itish also showed the photographs of the woman being present during the Mayor’s demonstration in front of the Capital Police Station on the day the scandal broke.
Itish demanded the lady should be brought into the purview of the probe and her call records should be examined.
“The evidence, which I have presented, shows the woman is a member of the BJD and went to OHRC as an agent. I think Rishi’s girlfriend has been pressurised or lured. I demand the woman should be brought under the purview of the investigation,” said Itish.
Similarly, Odisha BJP vice president, Sameer Mohanty revealed that the woman who took Rishi’s girl friend to OHRC was seen with the Mayor multiple times and asked why she is not being quizzed by the investigating team.
“We have seen the woman at various places accompanying the Mayor. It shows that the Mayor protecting himself by sending the woman. If the woman is appearing before the media and OHRC openly, why the police are not taking her into the purview of the investigation?” said Mohanty.

Responding to the allegations, BJD spokesperson, Surya Narayan Patro said “As far as I comprehend, the finger is being pointed towards the Student Congress leaders because they are cooking up another story in the fear that their lie will be caught.”
On the other hand, Rishi’s friend Sourav Nanda appeared before the Investigation Officer, SP-Zone 3, Tapan Patnaik again today. Nanda was called for second time to appear before the police since the controversial sex clip surfaced.
“The police asked me about how I came to know Rishi and the sequence of events on that ill-fated night. I have given all the details to the cops. I want a thorough probe into the matter so that the truth will see light,” said Nanda.
