Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday launched a scathing attack on the ruling BJD dispensation over the prevailing lawlessness in the State.

“Lawlessness and crime has increased in Odisha. There are criminal cases against ministers and MLAs as well. Honourable CM you are not aware of many things,” said Pradhan, during a Mishran Parba of the BJP held in Bhubaneswar.

Tearing into the BJD, Pradhan said, “After the assassination of Naba Das, an innocent youth was murdered. This suggests lawlessness in the State. Whenever we raise this issue, they (BJD) term it politicisation and accuse us of shaming the State.”

“Whenever we talk about the lawlessness in Odisha, they would immediately mention about Uttar Pradesh. But, you have ruled Odisha for 23 long years. On the other hand, Yogi Adityanath has ruled Uttar Pradesh for six years. But during these six years, the fear of Yogi Government is giving sleepless nights to mafia. But here in Odisha, cases are pending against Ministers and MLAs” lambasted Pradhan.

Training his gun at Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Pradhan said, “Honourable Chief Minister, there are four criminals flaking you on your left side and five on your right. You are not aware of many things. Nor are you in a state to understand them.”

Pradhan also dared Chief Minister Patnaik to conduct a debate in the Odisha Legislative Assembly.

The Union Minister also cornered the BJD over thousands of students remaining absent after filling up the forms for Matric examinations.
“Odisha is not your personal property. We will go to each and every house and tell people about your failures,” added Pradhan.
