Police Commissioner Priyadarsi informed that a striking force is ready at five control rooms around the House and PMG.
“The security arrangement inside the House has been entrusted upon the Intelligence department. Commissionerate Police have been given the security responsibility of the inner and the outer periphery of the house,” said Priyadarsi.

“Arrangements have been put in place in coordination with the Special Branch to avoid any untoward incidents in front of the Assembly,” he said.

Notably, with some changes in the timings, one more hour has been added to the working hour of the Odisha Legislative Assembly during the session.

The House will function for six hours with the afternoon session starting from 4 pm and it will continue till 7 pm instead of 6 pm.

During Covid times, the House was functioning for five hours. However, as per the decision taken in the all party meeting, the working hour has been increased by one hour. The House will commence with strict adherence to Covid protocols.
