A day after surviving the bomb attack on him, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Keonjhar , Mohan Majhi on Monday said that he has little hope in getting justice as the law enforcement agencies in the State are under tremendous pressure from the ruling BJD to shield the mastermind.

Speaking to Mohan Majhi on Monday said that he has little hope in getting justice as the law enforcement agencies in the State are under tremendous pressure from the ruling BJD to shield the mastermind.the reporters, Majhi, who escaped unhurt in the bomb attack on Sunday while returning from a public meeting in his constituency, said, “I do not have much hope from the Police or the district administration as they are under pressure to not touch Raja, the mastermind behind the attack on me.”

“He (Raja) has multiple cases against him in several Police stations, but the Police is still reluctant to arrest him,” Majhi alleged.

It is pertinent to mention here that on Sunday two motorcycle-borne miscreants hurled two bombs at the vehicle of Majhi, who was returning after attending a public meeting. The bombing took place near Mandua.

The front panel of the MLA’s car was partly damaged in the bombing incident. A complaint in this connection was lodged at Keonjhar Town Police station.

Though the driver of Majhi’s car chased the miscreants to some distance, they managed to escape from the spot.

Since more than 24 hours have passed since the bombings on the Opposition Chief Whip of the Odisha Assembly took place and the Police are yet to make any breakthrough, questions have been raised by the BJP supporters over the law and order situation in the State.

However, Majhi hoped that the Police will carry out an impartial probe irrespective of the political compulsions and put behind bar the perpetrators behind the attack.
