Face-Off Erupts Between Present And Former MLAs Of Soro
A face-off erupted between Parshuram Dhada, the present BJD MLA of Soro and Surendra Parmanik, former legislator of the assembly constituency after the latter reportedly asked the former the reason behind the transfer of funds, meant for the development of the constituency.
A video of the incident that occurred on Thursday afternoon has gone viral on various social media platforms.
“Soro’s MLA Parshuram Dhada had come for election campaigning at Chitol panchayat. I intercepted his convoy near Anantapur and asked him the reason behind the diversion of Rs 1.33 crore, meant for development works in Soro and Bahanaga blocks,” said Parmanik.
This infuriated Dhada and he was even seen misbehaving with Parmanik in the video.
Later, the MLA’s men were also seen manhandling and abusing Parmanik in the viral video.
“On being asked by an ex-MLA, the current MLA’s reacted in an abusing manner. How will a common man have the courage to ask the legislator? When I asked him repeatedly, his security guards cleared the route for his convoy and they left. Police officials also misbehaved with me on his directions. He should have answered m,y questions,” stated the former MLA of Soro.
However, Dhada is yet to comment on the incident.
