The BJP camp in Odisha is euphoric after its stupendous performance in both Assembly and Lok Sabha elections that paved the way to form government in the state by dethroning the Naveen Patnaik-led BJD government. BJP National Vice-President Baijayant Panda, who also won the Kendrapara Lok Sabha seat, on Wednesday offered prayers at Hanuman Temple in Bhubaneswar and congratulated the people of Odisha for showering blessings on the party.
The BJP won 78 Assembly out of 147 seats and 20 out of 21 Lok Sabha seats in the 2024 elections.

“I thank and congratulate the people of Odisha and Kendrapara for voting for a change which was necessary for Odia Asmita and the state’s development. It is a historic decision. India is being lauded for massive development which happened under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the last 10 years,” said Panda.
According to Panda, despite massive development in the country, Odisha was lagging much behind. “It was quite natural to think of development under 25 years of a stable government. But it has not happened and we assure that there will now be development at a much faster pace under the double-engine government,” said Panda.
BJP To Fulfil Promises
People have faith on Modi Ki Guarantee as whatever promises were made have been fulfilled in the country, said BJP National VP Baijayant Panda adding that the same will be applicable for Odisha.

“All the big schemes of the Centre, which were earlier not implemented, will be extended to the people,” he said.
CM Face in Odisha?
When asked about BJP’s CM face in Odisha, BJP National Vice-President Baijayat Panda said, "BJP is the biggest democratic party in the world and there is a process for taking decisions which is very transparent." "Prime Minister Narendra Modi had guaranteed that a son or a daughter of Odisha will be the CM and it will happen accordingly," added Panda.
