The Odisha unit of Bharatiya Janata Party kicked off its two-day-long conference at the party headquarters in Bhubaneswar on Friday to concretise its strategies for the upcoming Brajarajnagar by-poll and also lay roadmap for the general elections 2024.

The BJP has fielded former MLA Radharani Panda as its candidate for the Brajarajnagar seat and is presently setting its eye on creating a base through this election for the 2024 general polls.

Party MPs have been assigned charge to tour their respective parliamentary constituencies and strengthen party's base in 100 weak booths. 

Bargarh MP Suresh Pujari has been given the responsibility to spearhead party's strategies for the by-election to Brajrajnagar seat. 

Odisha State party president Samir Mohanty, Union Minister Biseswar Tudu, D Purandeswari, MP Jual Oram, Bargarh MP Suresh Pujari among others joined the meeting.

Similarly, Union ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Ashwini Vaishnaw, National Vice President Jay Panda also graced the event through video conference. 

The main objective of this meeting is to set the stage for the ‘Chintan Sibir’ to be held next month in the State where the roadmap will be prepared for the 2024 general elections and Assembly elections. 

While BJP National President J P Nadda will attend the camp, ‘Mission 120 Plus’, finalised by Amit Shah will also be discussed. 
“Topics like how to strengthen the party and corner Odisha government on its failures in delivering its promises will be discussed in the meeting,” said BJP leader Thakur Ranjit Das.
