The block development officers of nine blocks and tehsildars took part in the drive aimed at encouraging youth voters towards voting and increasing turnout.

Successful participants and senior citizens were also felicitated at the programme.

Speaking to the media, Pramod Dandasena, a participant said, "Voting is our constitutional right. All should go to the booths to exercise their franchise. The Baliguda administration took such a novel step to sensitise voters.”

The administration will reach out to the elderly voters who cannot come to booths. We created awareness through a fashion show and a dance programme.”
