Slamming the Odisha government over the deterioration in law and order, the President of State BJP, Sameer Mohanty said that there are hundreds of Gobinda Sahus roaming on the streets. The time is ripe to crush them before they could do any harm to another Mamita.

The State BJP Chief has made this scathing attack after a delegation led by him met the family of Mamita Meher, the lady teacher at Sunshine English Medium School at Mahaling, who was brutally murdered by Gobinda Sahu, the President of the School Managing Committee.

"It is the right time to stop hundreds of Gobinda Sahus let loose before harming to other Mamitas. The BJP has made it its mission to wipe out the Gobindas and their masters,” he said.

Senior party leader Pitambar Acharya, who was a part of the BJP delegation said, “There is a larger conspiracy here. Gobinda Sahu was just a puppet. The real culprits are sitting safely in houses of comfort and enjoying the show.”

Meanwhile, the father of Mamita, Suchandra Meher has demanded a probe on Minister of State (MoS), Captain Dibya Shankar Mishra's complicity in the murder case and strict action against him if found guilty.

The BJP delegation that met the family at their ancestral home in Jharni Gaon in Kantabanjhi included Former Odisha DGP and BJP leader Prakash Mishra, Lawyer Pitambar Acharya, MP Sangita Singhdeo and KV Singhdeo.

Prakash Mishra, who himself was former Odisha DGP, levelled some serious allegations against the Police and said that the entire episode of Gobinda Sahu fleeing Police custody to being found from a sugarcane field reeks of conspiracy.

“It's all cycles of conspiracy. Why was Gobinda brought to Titilagarh barracks and how did he manage to flee from police custody. Not only Gobinda but the big fishes should also be caught,” said Mishra.
