Almost all the political parties have started chalking out their strategies for the general election 2024. As a part of its exercise, the state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday convened a meeting at the state party office in Bhubaneswar.

The meeting was attended by Odisha in-charge Sunil Bansal, Prabhari D Purandeswari, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and other senior leaders, district presidents, district prabharis and state office bearers.

The meeting finalised the strategies to corner the government over issues like violence against women, farmers’ problem and unemployment problem. The meeting also decided to make preparations for the general election and to strengthen the party from the grass root level.

The party’s performances at Dhamanagar and Padampur bypolls were also analysed and party sources said the faults committed by the party would be rectified.

“Kshetriya prabhari Sunil Bansalji is finding out a way to keep the party connected with the people. It has been decided that a kind of war against the government will be launched over issues like corruption in MGNREGA, GST corruption in blocks, unemployment problem,” said BJP general secretary Prithviraj Harichandan.

The grand old party Congress Is not lagging behind in preparing for the approaching big game.

Leader of the Congress legislative party Narasingha Mishra said, “I hope the party will do a self-introspection and rectify the errors. People rejected us and we have to accept this unpleasant truth. If it continues, what will be the party’s situation can well be imagined.”

Notably, the BJP had earlier alleged that a deal was struck between the Congress and BJD.
