Eggs Thrown At Odisha Minister Pratap Jena’s Convoy In Kendrapara

Eggs were hurled at Odisha Law Minister Pratap Jena’s convoy by Congress workers in Kendrapara’s Aali area on Tuesday. 

According to sources, the agitating Congress workers not only hurled eggs but waved black flags at the Minister too. The Minister was on his way to inaugurate a developmental project in the area. The workers shouted “Ptap Jena Down Down” and opposed his visit.

Earlier in November, mounting attack on the Odisha government, Opposition party members had hurled eggs at Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s carcade near Hospital Chhak in Puri while he was returning after laying the foundation stone for the ambitious Srimandir Heritage Corridor Project in the pilgrim town.

It is suspected that the egg attack on the Minister was a mark of protest against the State government which has been accused of dragging its feet over the investigation into the murder of Kalahandi lady teacher Mamita Meher and Mahanga double murder case.
