Congress MP from Odisha's Koraput constituency Saptagiri Ulaka on Monday slammed Odisha government accusing it of neglecting southern and western Odisha.

Coming down heavily on the state government, the Parliamentarian said, "The developmental projects of Biju Janata Dal (BJD) ruled state government is only limited to  Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri."

Ulaka visited Jeypore Municipality to review various ongoing development projects in the city.

Ulaka took to his Twitter handle to raise the issue of delay in the establishment of Kendriya Vidyalaya and VD College. He also pointed out the delay in the operation of Jeypore airport.

"It is very sad to say that the operation of Jeypore airport has been delayed for so long. The then Union Civil Aviation Minister assured me 1.5 years ago that the operation of the airport will begin within six months," the Koraput MP said.

He added, "I will raise the issue of Jeypore airport at Parliament and will meet Minister of Civil Aviation, Jyotiraditya Scindia."

"Visited Jeypore Municipality and met Chairman, councillors and officials to review various ongoing development projects in Jeypore" the Congress MP tweeted.

"Jagannath Sagar redevelopment & restoration are key focus area which will prioritise. Airport, KV & VD College issues will also be taken up," the parliamentarian wrote.

Ulaka met several Congress leaders and workers at Jeypore and appraised them of the overall political situation at the national level.

The Congress MP targeted the anti-people policies of the State and Central Government.

"We should all work tirelessly to revive the party by bringing forward," Congress MP Saptagiri Ulaka wrote on Twitter.

The Congress leader said that he is planning to put restoration works of Jagannath Sagar Lake under the schemes of the Central Government for the protection of water bodies.
