With a few days left for the by-election to Brajarajnagar assembly seat in Jharsuguda district, campaigning has gained momentum in the constituency. Leaders of three major parties- Biju Janata Dal, Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress- have left no stone unturned to woo voters in favour of them. 

For BJD candidate Alaka Mohanty , Health Minister Naba Das’ daughter Dipali is campaigning. Dipali along with senior BJD leaders Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak and Debi Prasad Mishra held a meeting at Belpahad to convince voters to cast their votes in favour of Alaka. Dipali reached out to women and was seen trying to win their confidence.  

Addressing the gathering, Dipali said, “If you turn the pages of history, you will surely find out that except Biju Janata Dal, no other political parties have prioritised women.”

On the other hand, Union Minister Bishweswar Tudu was seen campaigning for BJP candidate Radharani Panda . He held a meeting at Belpahad and requested voters to vote for Radharani.
 
Talking to media, he said “People have seen our Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s role in nation-building. So voters should bless the saffron party candidates with their votes so that our party candidate will win and work for around development of the nation .”

Similarly, senior Congress leader Jagannath Patnaik, former Pradesh Congress Committee president Jaydev Jena, Sarat Patnaik, legislator Santosh Singh Saluja and Adhiraj Panigrahi campaigned for party candidate Kishore Patel .

Jagannath Patnaik in the public meeting said, “During campaigning, we have observed that Kishore Babu is capable of raising his voice against various irregularities of his constituency at the State Assembly and sort out those truthfully. He has won the confidence of voters of his region.”
