The agitating BJP members reportedly demanded justice for Dharmendra Sahoo, a zilla parishad member, who allegedly committed suicide while holding the legislator responsible.

The president of the Gop unit of the BJP Yuba Morcha, Shivaprasad Swain, alleged, “Since the death of Zilla Parishad member Dharmendra Sahoo, BJP Yuva Mocha has been staging protests demanding justice for him. Our activists showed black flags to Samir Dash for his involvement. But the legislator is not being brought under the purview of investigation.”

He added that Biju Yuba Vahini activists, who have cases pending against them, attacked him and some other activists in the presence of police.
