With just three days to go to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a series of road shows in the national capital on Monday, and one of the massive shows was joined by the party’s national vice-president and Delhi In-Charge, Baijayant 'Jay' Panda.

Panda, who attended the rally at Maya Nagar, South Delhi asserted BJP’s massive win in the MCD elections this time.

Speaking to OTV, Panda said, “We are way ahead of other parties and going to secure a big win. The BJP is organising 14 simultaneous road shows in Delhi today (November 30). This road show has gathered a lot of support from the people here. Other parties have failed to attract so much people and their support.”

Slamming the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led Delhi government, Panda said, “The AAP failed miserably in the past years to deliver the promises it had made. From the unabated opening of liquor shops to Satyender Jain’s Tihar jail videos have proved that the AAP has cheated the Delhi people to no bounds.”

“We have three major advantages on the ground... First one is the massive popularity of PM Modi. The second one is our local leaders who have always stood with the people during their hard times. The third factor is the developmental works taken up by the BJP like, hospitals, flyovers, roads which have been welcomed by the people,” he added.

The election for the 250-ward Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) is scheduled to be held on December 4. The counting of votes will be done on December 7.
