The political corridors are abuzz with speculations after pictures of former MP, Jayaram Pangi and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s meeting surfaced.

Rumours are doing rounds of Pangi joining KCR’s political party Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), earlier called as Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).

However, Pangi has denied any plans of switching parties.

Pangi posted the photo of his meeting with KCR on his Facebook account, triggering discussions in the political arena of Koraput, Odisha.

Jayaram Pangi started his political career from Janata Dal and was elected MLA. He served as a Minister too. Later, he joined BJD and got elected as MLA and MP on party ticket. Then he left BJD and joined the BJP. But he lost the last election in Koraput Lok Sabha seat.

Recently Pangi has been away from politics and floated the 'Dandakaranya Parbatamala Vikash Parishad' and is active as its President.

Seeking to expand its electoral footprint beyond Telangana, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in October 2022 changed its name to BRS.

In December 2022, the Election Commission approved the name change, following which party president and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao formally hoisted the pink colour flag of BRS and exuded confidence that the "pink flag would fly high on the Red Fort one day."

The BRS flag unveiled by Rao has the country's map on it while the colour of the party flag continues to be pink.
