#Watch: Congress leader Suresh Routray drops bombshell, says CM Naveen selects OPCC chief

Senior Congress leader and Jatni MLA Suresh Routray on Saturday dropped a bombshell claiming that it is Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik who always takes a final call with respect to the selection of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) President and Pravari for the State.

While talking to journalists in Bhubaneswar, Routray said, “The decision regarding who will be the OPCC president and the Pravari for the State is entirely within Naveen Patnaik’s discretion.”

In his response to the Jatni legislator’s statement, senior BJD leader Debashish Samantaray termed it as laughable. 

“The Congress is a national party and ours is a regional one. And Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is only concerned about Odisha and the Biju Janata Dal. He is least bothered about what is going in other parties,” said Samantaray.
