The Vivek Express, the epic train that covers an astonishing 4,200 km in its around 80-hour-long journey, connecting Dibrugarh (Assam) to Kanyakumari (Tamil Nadu), passes through nine states such as Assam, Nagaland, Bihar, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu and halts at as many as 59 stations, offering its passengers a unique experience and an opportunity to get a glimpse of panoramic views of Assam’s verdant tea gardens, Nagaland’s rolling hills, West Bengal’s serene rivers, Odisha’s ancient temples, Kerala’s tranquil backwaters and Tamil Nadu’s vibrant and rich culture. 

Notably, the Dibrugarh-Kanyakumari Vivek Express was introduced in 2011-12, honouring the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
