Russian woman starves herself almost to death to appease husband

In a shocking incident, a Russian woman almost starved herself to death, to the point of hospitalisation, to appease her husband’s controlling behaviour. The woman, identified as Yana Bobrova from Belgorod in Russia, now weighs only 22 kilos.

Despite doing all this to impress her husband, the man eventually left her. The matter came to the fore after the woman appeared in a Russian television show ‘Beyond the Border’ and narrated her ordeal.

Speaking at the show, the woman said that weight reduction was necessary after her husband passed comments on her for having ‘plump cheeks’. The talk show sheds light on the life journey of individuals who have experienced significant transformations in their lives.

Yana revealed that she engaged in intensive exercise regimens and restricted her food intake after her husband passed comments on her for ‘plumpy cheeks’. In the process, she went through significant weight reduction and reached 22 kilos even as she is 5.2 in height.

Meanwhile, nutritionists have expressed shock and told that her ‘body is eating itself. It ate all the muscles and the skin.’
Soon after the show, Yana was immediately taken to the hospital and is currently under medical care. 

Shockingly, Yana holds herself responsible for the drastic weight loss. She is still not blaming her family members or her husband.

She further added that her husband saw her body transformation, but did not stop her. Additionally, he imposed restrictions on her and coerced her into quitting her job and forced her to stay inside the house.

Subsequently, he left her and moved out, Yana said.
