A 68-year-old man from Lusaka in Uganda has 12 wives with 102 kids and 578 grandchildren. Yes, you read that right! Identified as Musa Hasahya Kasera, he admits that he never used contraception.

After fathering so many children, he has finally changed his mind. He refuses to use contraception and instead put his wives on birth control pills. Finally, at the age of 68, he feels that he has had enough children.

“The challenge is I can only remember the name of my first and the last born but some of the children I can’t even recall their names,” Musa was quoted as saying in a report in Times Now.

As per a report in AFP, Musa was only 17 when he married his first wife in 1972. However, his family and relatives advised him to marry more women and have more children so as to expand their family heritage.

Going by the words of his family and relatives, he married 12 women and fathered 102 kids. However, now he repents as he is not able to afford their food, education and clothing. Two of his wives have already left him.

“I don’t expect to have more children because I have learnt from my irresponsible act of producing so many children that I can’t look after. With my health failing and merely two acres of land for such a huge family, I’m presently unemployed,” Musa added.

Musa reportedly became a tourist attraction in his village.

Worth mentioning, Polygamy is legal in Uganda and it is a traditional practice where men are allowed to marry multiple wives.
