In a bizarre incident, the Railway department has served a notice to Lord Bajrang Bali over alleged ‘encroachment’ on railway land. Yes, you read that right!

The department has asked Lord Bajrang Bali to remove ‘encroachment’ on the railway land in Sabalgarh town in MP’s Morena district. The notice also warned the Lord to remove the encroachment within seven days or face action. The notice was pasted at the temple of Lord Hanuman.

The notice was reportedly issued on February 8 and has been going viral since then. The notice reads that Bajrang Bali should remove the ‘encroachment’ immediately or bear the expenses if the Railways take action to remove the encroachment.

However, the Railways rectified the mistake after the picture of the notice went viral and issued a new notice to the priest of the temple. When contacted, Jhansi Railway Division’s PRO (Public Relations Officer) Manoj Mathur said the notice was served by mistake.

“We had served the notice by mistake. We have served a new notice to the priest of the temple,” he said.

Reports suggest the notice to Bajrang Bali was issued by senior section engineer of the Jhansi railway division. The new notice has been served in the name of Harishankar Sharma, the priest of the temple.
Railways want the temple to be removed for the construction of the Sheopur-Gwalior broad-gauge line, reports said.
