The average life expectancy of humans is 80 years. However, there are a few people who have lived for over a century. Centenarians can be found across the world; however, the number of such people is limited. Though we come across different reports of centenarians and their lifestyle on the internet, it might be hard to believe unless we see someone practically.

Here we bring a video of a centenarian Buddhist monk that will leave you stunned.

As seen in the video, the Buddhist monk is seen playing with a kid while sleeping on a bed. The kid while playing around also seeks blessings from the monk and runs around the bed.

The first look of the monk will certainly surprise anyone as he looks like a person with a layer of skin on his skeleton. However, the monk is quite lively and apart from playing and blessing, he also has a conversation with the kid.

As per media reports, the Buddhist monk is Luang Pho Yai from Thailand. He left for his heavenly abode on March 22, 2022, at the age of 109. The kid seen with him in the video is his great-granddaughter and the person capturing the video is his granddaughter.

Before his demise, several videos of the monk went viral on social media. His kind demeanour, frail appearance, and age helped to propel the popularity of the videos.

However, the videos also triggered several false reports about the monk. While some reports claimed he was 163 years old, some others claimed that he was a 399-year-old woman and was undertaking the Japanese practice of self-mummification- Sokushinbutsu.

Auy Auyaray, the monk’s granddaughter shared multiple videos on TikTok which stormed the internet. After the monk broke his hip in January and was admitted to the hospital the same year of his demise, his granddaughter shared regular updates about his health.

Now, once again the video has surfaced on Twitter garnering over 638K views. The video shared by Oddly horrifying has also prompted netizens to express their surprise along with their personal opinions.
