Youths seek report on developmental work from Dabugaon BJD MLA; video goes viral

Dabugaon MLA Manohar Randhari had to face an embarrassing situation after a group of youths recently gheraoed him at Kosagumuda area in Nabarngpur district and sought a report on the developmental works undertaken in the constituency.

Randhari was reportedly embarrassed over the development. Somehow, he managed to leave the place.

As per reports, Randhari had come for the inaugural ceremony of Kosagumuda bus stand on August 23. However, the group of youth gheraoed him and levelled several allegations. They also asked the MLA for a report regarding different developmental activities undertaken in the area under MLA and MP lads in the last five years.

The video of the incident has gone viral over various social media platforms.

Meanwhile, the ruling party MLA blamed the Opposition BJP and Congress for the incident.

“The youths who gheraoed me and asked many questions are the workers of BJP and Congress. During the discussion they asked me about the developmental activities undertaken under the MLA and MP lads in the area,” said Randhari.

On the other hand, former Dabugaon MLA Bhujabal Majhi said that there has been corruption in the developmental activities undertaken in the constituency under MLA and MP lad fund.

“Randhari himself has confessed about the corruption. As per the provision, boards should be put up displaying information about various developmental works before the start of work. However, the MLA is saying that no boards have been displayed regarding the developmental works. His statement suggests that false bills have been made and corruption has been done,” alleged Majhi.

However, no comments could be obtained from the BJP leaders in this regard.
