Youth kidnapped near mall in Bhubaneswar; plaint filed

A youth was allegedly kidnapped in a car in front of a shopping mall in the Rasulgarh area of Bhubaneswar on Tuesday. The reason behind the kidnapping is yet to be ascertained. 

As per reports, the kidnapped youth has been identified as Priyabrata Sahu, hailing from the Belabahali area under the Anandapur block of Keonjhar district.

Lokanath Sahu, a friend of Priyabrat, who was with him at the time of the abduction, said, "We were standing in front of Esplanade shopping mall in Rasulgarh when a white Honda car suddenly came near us. Some unidentified people forcibly pushed my friend into the car and sped away. I raised an alarm, but no one came to our help.” 

However, Lokanath has failed to specify any reason behind this kidnapping.

Following the incident, Lokanath has filed a complaint in this regard at Saheed Nagar Police Station. 
Acting on the complaint, police have started an investigation.

Later in the evening, police sources informed that the abductors have been traced in Gadakana area in Bhubaneswar and efforts are on to rescue the youth.
