A youth died after he was reportedly hit by the car of former Union Minister & Sundargarh MP Jual Oram on Saturday. The incident took place at Rekula Chhak in Dhenkanal when the MP was on his way to Rourkela from Bhubaneswar.
The deceased has been identified as Sarbeswar Choudhury, a resident of Dhenkanal. 

As per reports, Sarbeswar was going on his bike. The car in which the Sundargarh MP was travelling from Bhubaneswar to Rourkela allegedly hit the bike from the rear at Rekula Chhak. Sarbeswar was critically injured. The pilot vehicle of the MP rescued the injured and immediately rushed him to the Kamakhyanagar hospital where he was pronounced dead.

MP Jual Oram said, "A pilot vehicle was preceding my car. Perhaps, the youth could not understand it and his bike strayed in between the two cars. I was sitting in the rear seat. I could not know what exactly happened. The patient was taken to the hospital.”

BJD leader and Odisha Minister of Steel and Mines, Prafulla Mallik expressed his grief over the incident. “It is an unfortunate incident. We all are heartbroken over the death of the youth. He was poor and was engaged in a job. As per the provisions of the government, help will be provided to the bereaved family,” Mallik said.
