Youth chased, attacked with sharp weapons on Bhubaneswar street

Raising serious questions over the law and order situation, some unidentified miscreants chased and attacked a youth with knives and surgical blades over past enmity at Badagada area in Bhubaneswar on Monday night.

The victim has been identified as Dipak Pradhan, a resident of Badagada village.

According to sources, Dipak was returning home at around 11 pm when some bike-borne masked miscreants intercepted him. Before, Dipak could understand anything, they attacked him with knives and surgical blades leaving him critically injured.

Dipak sustained injuries on his back, hand and face in the attack, sources added.

On being informed about the incident, the police reached the spot and launched an investigation based on the footage from the CCTV installed in the area.
