Woman's body recovered from picnic spot; rape and murder suspected

A decomposed body of a woman was recovered from the popular Sonamuni Picnic Spot in Anandapur of Keonjhar on Sunday morning. While the exact cause of the woman's death is yet to be ascertained, preliminary reports suspect rape and murder.

Locals suspect that the deceased may have fallen victim of sexual assault before she was brutally murdered. The matter came to the fore after a few locals spotted the body and alerted the cops.

On being informed, police authorities rushed to the spot and initiated an intensive investigation into the incident. Police officilas are collecting evidence and conducting a thorough examination of the crime scene to uncover the precise circumstances surrounding the woman's death.
