Woman among 2 critical as massive fire breaks out at two-storey building in Cuttack CDA

At least two persons, including a woman, sustained serious burn injuries after a massive fire broke out at a two-storey building at CDA Sec-7 in Cuttack late Thursday night. The reason for the sudden fire is yet to be ascertained.

A youth and a young woman, who were inside the building, sustained severe burn injuries in the fire mishap. They have been rushed to a private hospital in the city, reports said.

As per preliminary reports, the fire engulfed all household items, while vehicles parked in the area, including a car and two two-wheelers, were also reduced to ashes.  Fortunately, other residents managed to escape with minor injuries.

The exact cause of the fire remains unknown as authorities are investigating the incident.
