Woman, 2 children found dead in Odisha

In a shocking incident, a woman and her two children were found dead in a house at Durukulia village under Keonjhar’s Champua Police limits on Monday.

As per reports, while the woman was found hanging in her house, her two sons aged three and four years were found dead under mysterious circumstances.

While the reason behind the deaths is yet to be ascertained by the police, it is suspected that the woman strangulated her children to death before ending her life.

Upon getting information, the police recovered the bodies and sent them for autopsy. A probe has been launched by the police in this connection.

On Sunday, a similar incident was reported when three members of a family including a couple and their child were found dead inside their house at Toyaput village under Laxmipur block in Koraput.

While the husband was found hanging inside the house, his wife’s body was lying on the sofa. Their four-year-old child’s body was also found under the sofa.

It is suspected that the man killed his wife and child before ending his life.

Some locals also said that the family was going through a severe financial crisis for the last few years leading to frequent altercations between the couple.
