Very few are aware that beneath the tough demeanour of some bureaucrats, lies a zestful and spirited lover of art and culture. Inside the tenacious and tough officers, lies hearts that beat for music and dance.

And bureaucrats posted in Sonepur district literally proved it during the Subarnapur Lok Mahotsav.

Needless to mention that performance of bureaucrats left netizens speechless.

Be it Vigilance SP Sara Sharma or Subarnapur District Collector Aboli Naravane, they mesmerized audience with their powerful performances at the Subarnapur Lok Mahotsav.

Last but not the least, Assistant District Magistrate Surya Narayan Das stunned everyone at the festival with his magic show. His magic show, undoubtedly, added zing to the concluding day of the festival.

According to sources, it was announced on the concluding day of the Mahotsav that a renowned magician named TN Surya will showcase his magic skills. The audience was taken aback when they saw the magician was none other than the additional district collector Surya Narayan Das.

It won’t be an exaggeration to say that ADM’s magic show was the central attraction on the concluding day of the festival.

ADM Surya Narayan Das said, “I have been inclined towards magic show from my childhood. Despite being in administration, my heart still follows my passion which is magic. I believe magic is an art. I am lucky to get an opportunity to showcase my magic skills.”

Sub-collector, Ipsita Priyadarshini Mishra, said, “When the entire programme was scheduled, we were told that that a magician would perform. When we saw ADM sir on the stage, we all screamed. It was a big surprise for us. The Collector and ADM stunned everyone with their talent.”

Earlier on the second day of the festival, Sonepur Collector Aboli Naravane had won hearts for her performance on the song O Ri Chiraiya.

Taking to tweeter, she wrote: “Glimpses of my performance on the song O Ri Chiraiya on the occasion of Subarnapur City Festival and Lok Mahotsav. The theme was Prevention of Child Marriage and sending girls back to school.”

Similarly, Vigilance SP Sara Sharma enthralled the audience at the festival with her singing skills.
