Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi
Officials of the Odisha government have been acquainted with a system, things are slowly changing, said Chief Minister Mohan Majhi during his Keonjhar visit on Saturday.
While replying to a query about why officials of different departments under the State government are not responding to the questions by the media, Majhi said, “A party was in power for 24 years. What bureaucrats will say or not was decided by the third floor. As they were working under a government for a long time, they might have been afraid to speak to the media.”
“Now, they have no obstacles to speak whatever is necessary. Why will not they speak? Their mentality needs to be changed. They can speak within their limitations. It will happen. However, it will take some time for things to be changed,” said CM Majhi during 'Chai Pe Charcha' programme.
During his Keonjhar visit, CM Majhi joined the morning walk with some residents in the area and enjoyed tea with them as part of the 'Chai Pe Charcha'.
Though, a proposal was given to the previous government to build a stadium in Keonjhar it could not be materialized. Responding to the demand of local residents, Majhi assured that a national-level stadium will be built in Keonjhar.
