The BJP is preparing a chargesheet against the ruling BJD party which will contain 108 scams and corruptions of the Odisha government including Srimandir Ratna Bhandar key and coal scam issues, said Leader of Opposition (LoP) Jayanarayan Mishra on Monday.

“The chargesheet will definitely contain about the 5T secretary’s visit to different districts. In what capacity, he is visiting? If the Chief Minister starts visiting places two-three months ahead of the general election, we will not oppose. But we will ask where he was all these days,” Mishra added.

“The ruling party is involved in several corruptions reported from all the 30 districts. We will take up important ones. Soon the chargesheet will be prepared. Once completed, they will be submitted at the state, block and panchayat levels,” Mishra said.

“You know, our demonstrations at Panchayat offices are underway. They will be intensified to block, district and state levels,” he added.

On the other hand, the Congress has decided to go to the people and make them aware of the failures and loopholes of the state and Central governments.

“In the coming days, the jungle raj of the Naveen Patnaik government and Tamil rule in Odisha would no longer be tolerated. So, we will visit each and every village and leaflets mentioning the failures of the state and Central governments will be distributed. Soon, we will launch ‘Ghare Ghare Congress, Ghare Ghare Hata’ campaign,” said OPCC chief Sarat Pattanayak.

Meanwhile, the BJD claimed that such allegations are common when the election is round the corner.

“Chargesheets are being prepared across the nation. They are bringing allegations even if they don’t have veracity. It is natural for political parties to create a wave at the time of election. But in Odisha, people are with the BJD because we are working for them,” said senior BJD leader, Debi Prasad Mishra.
