Sambalpur is shaken by the mysterious death of Anjaneya Dash, a final-year mechanical engineering student at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT). CCTV footage of Anjaneya’s last moments surfaced on Wednesday, which raises many questions.

His lifeless body was found yesterday under the PC Bridge in the district, triggering widespread suspicion and concern.
The exclusive video obtained by OTV shows Anjaneya walking on the PC Bridge late Monday night, precisely at 9.13 PM. The footage even captures him speaking on the phone, but the identity of the person he was talking to remains still unknown.
Local police have launched an investigation into the video to understand the circumstances surrounding his death.
Questions abound: Who was Anjaneya talking to? What was the nature of their conversation? Why was he on the bridge so late at night? These queries remain unanswered as authorities probe deeper into the incident.
Anjaneya, originally from Dasarathpur in Jajpur district, had been pursuing his final year in mechanical engineering at VSSUT, Sambalpur.
With suspicions mounting, there are growing allegations that his death might not have been accidental, but possibly a homicide. Police are actively investigating these claims to uncover the truth behind the tragic incident and untimely death of the youth under mysterious circumstances.
However, no comments were received from the local police in this regard.
According to sources, Dash, bearing multiple injuries, was found lying under the bridge. He was rushed to Burla Hospital by police, where doctors declared him ‘dead’ on arrival.
A native of Jajpur district, Anjaneya was residing at the varsity’s Pulastya Hostel. His family members were informed yesterday, and they have reached the campus.
