In a bid to generate awareness regarding the Central government’s welfare schemes & policies, and achieve 100% saturation of flagship government schemes, the second phase of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was kicked off in different states across India on Saturday.

Union Ministers Smriti Irani, Piyush Goyal, and BJP National Vice-President Baijayant Panda participated in one such programme in New Delhi.

“India is creating history under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. India is currently the fastest-growing economy in the world. The country has now become the fifth-largest economy in the world. Modiji has guaranteed that India will become the third largest economy in the world in his third term,” said Panda.

“Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is reaching different villages and gram panchayats to be involved with the beneficiaries of the Central government’s welfare schemes and policies, to know their difficulties and resolve those issues. It is also meant to generate awareness about various schemes and policies and achieve 100% saturation of flagship government schemes,” said Goyal.

Notably, the first phase of the campaign was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 15, 2023, at Khunti, Jharkhand with multiple vans launched simultaneously from various locations with significant tribal populations across the country.

In a grand start, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra has reached more than 2.5 crore people across 68,000 Gram Panchayats in the country so far. Around two crore people have expressed their commitment to a developed India. More than two crore beneficiaries, who have benefitted from different welfare schemes of the Central government, have shared their experiences.
