It will be a perfect celestial event for the sky gazers as the Moon and Venus will share the same ascension. The moon will be passing 2° to the north of Venus on May 23, 2023.
As per officials of Pathani Samanta Planetarium in Bhubaneswar, the bright Venus will be visible to the naked eye till June 15. One can witness this for a period of two hours from 6:30 pm to 9:15 pm, provided the sky is clear.
Special arrangements have been made at Pathani Samanta Planetarium in Bhubaneswar so that people can get a closer look at Venus and the moon through its equipment. Visitors can visit the planetarium from 6:30 PM to 8 pm on May 23.
However, the event will be cancelled if there are overcast conditions, official sources said.
