Hearing a petition filed by actor Anubhav Mohanty, the Orissa High Court on Thursday directed the family court to record the final statements of both parties by July 31 and dispose of the case in three months.

As per reports, Anubhav had knocked on the doors of the High Court citing an inordinate delay in family court proceedings.

"I think three months time is sufficient for the case to arrive at a logical conclusion provided both the parties cooperate honestly,” said lawyer Lalitendu Mishra.

Varsha Priyadarshini was not available for comments in this connection.

It is pertinent to mention here that the actor-turned-politician and his actress wife have been battling an ugly marital dispute in the court in which Anubhav is seeking a divorce from Varsha. The dispute has seen multiple FIRs and counter FIRs from both sides.

Recently, the actor-turned-politician had released a video on his Facebook account on his birthday and said that he will get a new birth following his divorce.

Sharing the video, the Parliamentarian had said, “I have been living a dead life for the last three-four years. I will get a new birth after divorce.”

“On my divorce day, I will celebrate my birthday. My real birthday will be celebrated on the divorce day. I will get a new birth and new lease of life on that day,” he posted.
