Heart-warming visuals came from Uttarkashi Jagannath Temple as scores of local residents of Sald village lit diyas for the people of Odisha and for everyone who were instrumental in the recent decision taken to develop the shrine.

The recent series of events and discussions about the ancient Jagannath temple at Sald after its exploration visit has brought many good news for the temple which has brought much joy and excitement in the minds of the innocent Pahadis of the villages nearby.

The unexplored Jagannath temple became the center of attraction after Ollywood actor Sabyasachi Mishra and his wife Archita shared stunning visuals of the shrine during their visit.

As per reports, the villagers gathered together and thanked Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami, and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. They also appreciated the sincere efforts by BJP Spokesperson Sambit Patra.

While the elders of the village have been waiting for a day like this, they said such instant developments are nothing but the blessings of Lord Jagannath.

The development also made Ollywood actor Sabyasachi Mishra tweet, “My happiness knows no bounds as I am seeing all these developments. I honestly thank the villagers for accepting Archita & me as the daughter and son-in-law of their village. Indeed, this is a lifetime achievement for both of us."

It is pertinent to mention here that Sabyasachi and Archita went to the temple in Sald village near the district headquarters of Uttarkashi and took stock of the situation by interacting with the priests there. They mobilised the devotees from Sald and nearby villages to visit the temple. Later, the actor couple accompanied by the villagers went to the temple, performed puja, and distributed prasad among the devotees.

Later, Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami assured to develop the reportedly neglected Jagannath Temple as a religious tourist destination.

The temple, located at a height of around 3000 feet above sea level, is one of the oldest temples of Jagannath. Unlike other temples, the Lord is worshipped here in the form of stones.
