The Office of the Warden, Post-Graduate (P.G.) Hostels have issued a directive to vacate all rooms in Gents Hostel-I, Gents Hostel-II, and Gents Hostel-III to make way for the allotment of rooms to registered students of the university.
According to the notice dated September 1, 2025, students currently occupying hostel rooms without proper authorisation must vacate the premises along with their belongings by September 4, 2025. Failure to comply, the notice warns, will attract strict disciplinary action from the authorities.
“This is to inform all concerned that all rooms of Gents Hostel-I, Gents Hostel-II, and Gents Hostel-III will be made available for allotment to registered students of the University. All individuals currently occupying hostel rooms without proper authorization are hereby instructed to vacate the rooms along with their belongings on or before 4th September 2025. Failing to comply with this directive will invite strict disciplinary action by the authorities,” the letter read.
The warden also advised students with valid hostel allotments to strictly avoid entertaining unauthorized guests or attempting to sublet or transfer rooms to others.
Any violation of these rules, the notice cautioned, could result in the cancellation of studentship from the university.
“Further, students who have been allotted hostel accommodation are strictly advised not to: (a) entertain unauthorized guests in their rooms, (b) sublet or sell their rooms to others. Any violation of the above instructions will lead to cancellation of studentship from the University,” the letter added.
The administration urged all students to treat the directive with utmost seriousness to ensure smooth reallocation and proper utilization of hostel facilities.
