A day after Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan slammed the Odisha government during his Angul visit, Dhenkanal MP Mahesh Sahoo on Monday launched a counterattack.

Sahoo alleged that despite being a Union Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan has not done anything for his own birthplace. At a presser, the Dhenkanal MP raised the issue of the Talcher-Bimalagad railway line and medical college in Dhenkanal. How many central schools have been set up in Dhenkanal and Angul that contribute more in terms of Revenue, questioned Sahoo.

“Dhenkanal and Angul generate the highest revenue for the country and in return, no work has been done for the landless people and common man of this area; be it roads, railways, national highways,” alleged Sahoo.

Earlier yesterday, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan during his Angul visit targeted the Odisha government. He said, “No irrigation facility has been created for an inch in this region in the past 23 years of efficient BJD rule. CM Naveen Patnaik, who used to say ‘stop PC’ has now turned a Dhritarashtra.”
