Ultimate Kho Kho: Odisha's Sunil Patra drafted in Mumbai Khiladis

Sunil Patra has done Odisha proud after he was selected for the Mumbai Khiladis team, which was announced for the second edition of the Ultimate Kho Kho. 

The second edition of the Ultimate Kho Kho tournament will be held from December 24, 2023, to January 14, 2024, in Cuttack, Odisha. There will be six teams such as Odisha Juggernauts, Chennai Quick Guns, Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Khiladis, Rajasthan Warriors and Telugu Yoddhas. There will be a total of 34 matches. 

Speaking to the media, Punit Balan, owner of the Mumbai Khiladis, said, “We have formed a good team this time. We only retained two players from the previous season. It is a completely new team. About 30 percent of the players are young – below 18 years. Two experienced players - Ainiket and Mahesh Shinde are nominated as captain and vice-captain.”  

Notably, the auction of the players for the second season of Ultimate Kho Kho (UKK) was held in Bhubaneswar on November 21.
