Two youths knocked down by bus in Odisha’s Kalahandi

Two youths going on a bike died after they were hit by a bus in Junagrh of Kalahandi district on Monday. The deceased were identified as Kari Majhi of Gumabahal, and Jagannath Nayak of Tetaraguda.

As per reports, Kari and Jagannath were going on a bike from Junagarh to their village. As they neared Chilakpur under Junagarh police limits, a private bus coming from Kalampur towards Cuttack hit the bike from the rear. The two died on the spot. 

Tension prevailed at the site following the tragic accident. Locals surrounded the bus. On being informed of the incident, police rushed to the spot, recovered the bodies for post-mortem and started an investigation into the matter. The cops also seized the bike.
