Odisha government on Saturday suspended two lecturers in Bolangir on charges of securing jobs by submitting fake marksheets. Recently, concerns were expressed after some fake teachers were detected in the state.

The fake lecturers have been identified as Narendra Nag and Lingaraj Meher from Jogimunda Rajendra Meher Higher Secondary School. While Nag was a lecturer in Political Science, Meher was teaching Odia in the educational institution.

As per reports, both the lecturers had allegedly submitted fake marksheets from Sambalpur University. 

After verification of their marksheets and based on the report of the Principal, the State Higher Education Department issued a letter for the suspension of the lecturers. The Department also ordered Patnagarh Sub-Collector to take appropriate action against the accused.

Following the suspension of both the fake lecturers, a complaint has been lodged at Patnagarh police station in this regard by the college management. Both the fake lecturers have been asked to return their entire salary of Rs 31,60, 252 each that they have received as block grants and from the college management.

Meanwhile, slamming the State government, Opposition Congress has demanded a CBI inquiry into the incident.

However, no comments from the ruling party could be obtained in this regard.
