Back-to-back thefts worth lakhs from a private English medium school in the Sirisbani area in Baripada has become the talk of the town. Carrying out the probe, police arrested two accused and recovered several stolen items from their possession.

Surprisingly, police suspected the involvement of some students in the theft incidents and started an investigation in this regard. It is alleged that several valuables including laptops, cash, music system, TV, and other articles were stolen from the school in two separate incidents.

A complaint in connection with the incident was lodged by the School secretary.

"We have arrested two accused- Rohit Pallei and Sk Abidulla in connection with the incident on Saturday. We have recovered a TV, music system, laptops, and two luxury bikes from their possession besides some cash," said Baridapa Sadar SDPO, Sujit Kumar Pradhan.

It is suspected that the accused had roped in some students to commit the crime in order to buy motorcycles.

" It is suspected that some school students are involved in the incident and appropriate action will be taken after necessary investigation," Pradhan added.
