HC Trouble mounted for BJD MLA and former minister Srikanta Sahu after party leader Sanjukta Mahala, who had earlier brought physical and mental harassment allegations against him, moved the Orissa High Court. Sanjukta has knocked on the doors of the High Court alleging that despite lodging a complaint no action has been taken by the police in connection with the incident.

Five persons, including the BJD lawmaker, Odisha government, Police Commissioner, DCP, and inspector of Mahila Police Station have been made parties in the case. Sanjukta has sought the Court's direction for appropriate direction in the matter.

The BJD leader Sanjukta Mahala had earlier brought physical and mental harassment allegations against former minister Srikanta Sahu and lodged a complaint in this regard in April. She subsequently lodged another complaint against the latter at Mahila Police Station in Bhubaneswar in July this year.

The BJD lawmaker could not be contacted over the allegations and the fresh development.
