Train services in Bhubaneswar to be normalised from August 31: ECoR

In a relief to thousands of rail passengers in the coastal region of Odisha, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Wednesday announced to normalize rail services under its jurisdiction from Thursday.

As per reports, the commissioner of railway safety will inspect the signaling system in the last patch of work between Mancheswar and Bhubaneswar of Khurda Road-Barang third line today.

Sources said, some major infrastructure and safety-related works at various places under the East Coast Railway have been going on between August 12 and August 30, 2023. Those works include a major re-arrangement of the signalling system in the Bhubaneswar Railway station.

Entry and exit to and from Bhubaneswar Coach Maintenance Depot were badly affected during the period. Some trains originating or passing through Bhubaneswar were cancelled temporarily during the project work.
