To ensure smooth and peaceful Christmas and Zero Night celebrations in Bhubaneswar, the Commissionerate Police will tighten security and put in place special traffic measures in the city. 

Speaking to the media, Bhubaneswar DCP, Prateek Singh said that police will be deployed near every church in the city while traffic management measures will be taken up keeping the crowd and vehicular movement in view. The Commissionerate Police has put in place massive security arrangements, including strict checking of vehicles and drunk driving.

He added that all police stations have been provided with breath analysers to keep a tab on drunk driving ahead of the celebrations.

Besides, a meeting will be held on December 26, 2023, with hotel and club owners who are preparing for Zero night celebrations, the DCP said, adding that all possible measures will be taken so that people can celebrate the festival without any disturbance.

“At the meeting with the hotel and club owners, we will discuss the measures and steps to be taken up for peaceful Christmas and zero-night celebrations,” he added.
